Megan DeArmond is awesome!

Meg is an amazing artist, a super tight sculptor and all around wonderful person. I've posted two of her older works and the invitation to her next show here in LA- which I'm really looking forward to seeing. I love the exhibition title.

I wish I had seen this by walking into that room. I just discovered Fred Eerdekens work recently.

Life on a

This was my summer into fall painting. I started it about a year ago and it never was quite right. So it just sat in my apartment and I'd stare at it. I kept wanting it to have a greater sence of lightness and space. This past summer was really hot and I would place the painting on my roof/porch area and pour a puddle of water upon it and drop white pigment into the puddle and allow it to dry. It was a very slow process and the painting changed and grew slowly like a plant. Originally the painting was of sea organisms living on a glob of oil.
